“Let me show you” — is a powerful phrase to a new person walking in a church building. My prayer is, “God allow me to do a little extra for someone today”. As I served in my normal spot in the kids department a new family came in. At first I thought they knew where they were going until the lady turned around to ask me a question. I could have pointed to show her where her family needed to go, but my previous church’s training kicked in — “it is better to walk and show them”. On the way I got to know the new family’s names and that they had watched church online and decided to come to in person church. If I had only pointed the way they needed to go I would have missed their story.
The concept of “let me show you” is so powerful for any setting — work, church, events, etc. The extra attention means so much to the person who is new.
“Let me show you” is what God does with His children. He walks with us to help us along the journey of life.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
